I am a Junior Professor in pure mathematics at the University of Göttingen and a PI of the RTG 2491 - Fourier Analysis and Spectral Theory and the DFG Research Grant The large scale geometry of high dimensional expansion.

I am observing with interests the developments that AI is bringing into the field. While I welcome these powerful new tools, I remain of the idea that mathematical research should still be made for humans. I am a subscriber to the Leiden Declaration and a member of the Association for Human Mathematics.
Research interests
My main interests are in Coarse Geometry and its interaction with other subjects (operator algebras, index theory, group theory, ... ). In my work I like to mix tools of geometry, analysis and algebra.
Some specific topics I worked on are: Roe algebras; Expander Graphs; coarse Baum–Connes; coarse Groups; Actions on Metric/Measure Spaces; CAT(0) and Hyperbolic Cube Complexes.
